Set on the marshes and with a smuggling past, Thornham is a favourite with walkers and bird watchers.
Vibrant, buzzy and stylish – whether it is a professionally prepared Italian coffee made by their barista; a temptingly delicious cake or pastry from the deli counter or a tasty meal from the innovative menu, Thornham Deli is the place to go for locally-produced, high quality food and drink. Winners of the EDP Best Independent Food and Drink Retailer 2016.
Thornham Deli combines old-fashioned qualities of a warm welcome, great service and a friendly atmosphere with modern style and panache.
This is no ordinary deli: alongside great food and drink, visitors can browse home and kitchenware in the lifestyle shop, pick up unique pieces of furniture, gather ideas for the garden or find gifts such as candles, throws, scarves and much more.
The village of Thornham is fast becoming a key visitor destination along the North Norfolk coast and the dedicated team including Janie, Gemma and Denise are proud to be at the heart of it all.
As they say… “Thornham Deli, so much more than a deli…”

Thornham has some of the best birdwatching in North Norfolk, with a wide variety of species to see throughout the year. There are
two RSPB sites just a stone’s throw from Thornham – the wide, sandy beach at Holme-next-the-Sea and marshy Titchwell.
A perfect dog walk - explore the marshes starting at the harbour and drop into the famous Lifeboat Inn, dating back to the 15th century, this traditional coastal inn retains the character and rustic charm of its heritage – but with the added sophistication and comforts of contemporary living.
For retail it has to be Drove Orchards, who have a varied selection of independent retailers as well as a farm shop and pick-your-own.
All Saints Church is worth a visit too if you have time as the rood screen is one of the few examples showing old testament prophets rather than the twelve apostles.
